Washed Up vs. Fly Society

DIVISION 1

The men of Washed Up dominates the young Fly Society team from the opening tip to the final buzzer and record a blowout 79-60 win, their record now stands at 1-2.

Richard Coombs led Washed Up with 25 points, 3 rebounds.  Earl M finished with 10 rebounds and he was the second leading scorer with 21 points. Mike Criscione was the third leading scorer with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

Anthony Anderson was lights out (4/6 from 3 point range) in the game and finished with 14  points to lead the way for Fly SocietyDesean Collins  & Robert Aguilar finished the game with 12 points apiece.

Fly Society enter week 4 with a (1-2) record but look to get back on the winning track when they take on I Ball (1-2).

Washed Up looks to continue their winning ways when they square off with Canyon City Basketball (1-2) in Week 4.

Dictators vs. Do Work

DIVISION 1

Do Work manages to squeeze out a close game and defeat the Dictators 42-39.

Andrew of the Dictators led the way  with a total of 11 points and 9 rebounds. Sheriff and Craig determined to not shelter the scoring load only on Andrew’s shoulders; they finished with 7 points apiece. Last weeks leading scorer Sam had a slightly less fulfilling performance compared to his previous week and rounded out the scoring trio with 8 points.

Adam led the way for Do Work in the scoring column and he finished with, 16 points and 6 rebounds. Dominic  finished with 11 points  while Ronnie rounded out the top 3 with 6 points, having a mediocre shooting performance, going 2-8 from the field.

Do Work (3-0) battles it out with STAT (2-1) in Week 4.

The Dictators (0-3) take on Speed Kills (0-3) in a match-up between two winless teams. One of these teams will be going home with a W this Sunday.


Speed Kills vs. STAT

DIVISION 1 

STAT opened the game on a 15-2 run and never looked back , they came out fired up and pulling out to a 25 point lead by the half. The men of Speed Kills battled it out all game but it was not enough as STAT came away with a 72-46 victory. The game  showed how dominant STAT could be if they played with that passion and intensity weekly.

Newly acquired free-agent Darryial Morris led the way for his new team as he recorded 17 points and 3 rebounds, while team GM Tony El-Asar  finished the game with 9 points and 4 boards going 1-5 from beyond the arc. Di’mon was the third leading scorer as he finished with 7 points to round out the scoring trio.

For the STAT team Danny Longmire led the way with 19 points, 18 rebounds.  Brandon Kinard finished with 18 points and 5 boards and Robel Kevorkian rounded out the top 3 with 17 points and 9 rebounds. If this was any indication on how dominant this STAT team could be, the rest of the Division should really keep on them.

STAT (2-1) takes on another playoff bound team/ undefeated Do Work (3-0) in Week 4.

Speed Kills (0-3) look to record their first win of the season when they take on the (0-3) Dictators.

 




IBall vs. Morningwood

DIVISION 1

I Ball proves to be no match for the 3 time champs Morningwood as the seasoned vets  pull out the W  61-44.

Tony Bell notched  a team-high 12 points and pulled in 12 rebounds to record his 1st double-double of the season. Mike chipped in 10 points and  7 rebounds after a stellar Week. 2 performance where he finished with 13 points.  Damion rounded out the scoring trio and  finished with 9 points and 4 rebounds.

Dewayne O’Neal was the key for Morningwood in this game, he was a big body that IBall could not seem to contain, he finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds and a MONSTER DUNK (pictured above). Marcus Pringle had one of his better games of the season and finished with 10 points shooting 2/6 from beyond the 3 point line.  Along with Pringle were Rich Cobarrubias and Diahnte Pickett who also finished with 10 points apiece. Cobarrubias shot 2/8 from downtown while Pickett did most of his damage in the paint shooting %50 on 4/8 shooting.

The Champs now move on to Week 4 where they will square of with (3-0) Knicee.

I Ball (1-2) takes on a young but seasoned team in Fly Society (1-2) in Week 4.

Canyon City Basketball vs. Knicee

DIVISION 1

Canyon City Basketball proves to be no match for an undefeated Knicee team and their latest acquisition Jesse Jimenez. Knicee comes away with an easy 75-50 win to stay atop the division.

Jesse Jimenez was the leading scorer for  Knicee as he finished with 20 points. John Dang finished with 7 rebounds and 17 points and Richard Hak rounded out the scoring trio with his 17 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

Travis Campbell went to work in the 2nd half and he finished with 25 points, and 1 rebounds. Sergio Serna and Carl Agcamaran rounded out the scoring trio with his 9 points apiece shooting a combined 7-20 from the field.

Knicee (3-0)  now has a showdown with 3 time champion Morningwood (3-0) this will be the true test to see where Knicee really stands.

Canyon City (1-2) takes on Washed-Up in a battle between two (1-2) teams.
