Week 1

With the past 3 division champions coming from the Western Conference, this conference has been crowned the talented division of the two. Two teams ( UKnow & Quiksilver) left the Eastern conference for a chance to play more élite teams, both of those teams captured wins in Week 1 as well as the Cali Raisins. The defending champions Wonton Soup had a Week 1 bye as they normally do and will return to action in Week 2. The conference only had 3 games but all of them were filled with excitement, and came down to the wire with the exception of the QS vs. DD game.

Cali Raisins vs. Happy Hour

DIVISION 2

The resilient Cali Raisins open S6 with a thrilling  62-60 win over Happy Hour.

The Raisins were led in scoring by Dominic Tiger-Cortes  he finished with a team high 20 points and 3 rebounds. Matt Virata and Korey Davis were the second leading scorers with 11 points apiece. Kevin Chow rounded out the top 4 scorers with 9 points and 2 rebounds.

James Reyes led the way for Happy Hour,  Reyes finished with 19 points and 5 boards. Reuben Medina assisted Reyes with the scoring load and finished  with 12 points .Mike Dorn rounded out the top 3 scorers, he finished with 11 points and 3 rebounds.

UKnow vs. Wet Bandits

DIVISION 2

After falling to Quiksilver in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals a season ago, UKnow rebuilt their team and jumped ship to the Western Conference, their first opponent was the Wet Bandits. The Bandits had a terrible season last season in terms of record. However don’t let their record fool you they are an élite team and posses talent. They however fell to UKnow in this Week 1 match-up 66-64.

Jimmy Nguyen  scored 17 points for UKnow. Byron Woods assisted Nguyen with the scoring load and finished with 16 points and 1 rebound . Justin Nguyen and Jonathan Redmond finished with 10 points apiece and Domo Beebe rounded out the scoring quartet with 9 points.

Brandon Parham  led the  Wet Bandits with 17 points, 14 rebounds , assisting Parham was Demetrius Watson, Watson finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Victor Quitana  rounded out the scoring trio as he finished with 12 points shooting 4/5 from downtown.

Double Dribble vs. Quiksilver

DIVISION 2

A match-up of two élite teams in the division end with Quiksilver coming out with a 69-59 victory.

Diahnte Pickett led all Double Dribble scorers  with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Free Agent Acquisition Zeke Benedetti assisted Pickett and finished with 10  points. Charlie Hinojosa finished with a near double-double (9 points, 9 rebounds)  Jesse Jimenez (6 points, 2 rebounds)  rounded out the scoring quartet for Double Dribble.

On the Quiksilver side of things Harry Yoo led all scorers  with 23 points and 9 rebounds, Anthony Barajas was the second leading scorer with 16 points and 6 rebounds. John Dang finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds and dished out 4 assists. Brandon Kinard rounded out the top 4 scorers with 11 points and 3 rebounds.
