Week 4

Cali Raisins vs. H.A.M

The Cali Raisins get back on the winning track as they defeat H.A.M by a wide margin of 64-47.

GM Justin Brown led all H.A.M scorers  with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Mundo Herrera assisted Brown and finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Oleg Resendez (8 points, 3 rebounds)  rounded out the top 3 scorers for H.A.M.

The Raisins were led by their PG Jordan Ramos who finished with a game high 16 points and 5 rebounds. Kevin Chow (13 points, 4 rebounds) was the second leading scorer.  Korey Davis and Kevin Tung finished with 12 points each.  Matt Virata finished with 9 points shooting 3/4 from the field. Kwasi Mensah had a terrible offensive game but managed to contribute to his team by pulling in 12 rebounds.

H.A.M (0-4) look for their first victory in Week 5 as they take on (3-1) Happy Hour.

The Raisins (2-2) get back on the winning track and will take on (2-2) West Coast and Double Dribble (2-2) in Week 5.


West Coast vs. Dream Team
DIVISION 2

Dream Team cruises to another easy victory over West Coast (72-51).

Malcolm G. led all scorers  with 23 points and 4 rebounds, Justin Benson was the second leading scorer with 20 points shooting 4/5 from beyond the arc. AJ Miles rounded out the top 3 scorers and was lights out from 3 point range as finished with 12 points.

Now on the other side of things for West Coast they were led by Kevin Puckett Jr.  who finished with a game high 25 points and 5 rebounds, Nico finished with 11 points and 3 rebounds, no other West Coast player finished with double figures. Anthony Barajas’s presence was severely missed as he served his 1 game suspension.

West Coast (2-2) moves on to face the (2-2) California Raisins in Week 5.

The Dream Team (4-0) put their undefeated record on the line as they take on Wonton Soup (3-0) & The Toon Squad (3-1) in Week 5.

 

 

 

Southstars vs. Toon Squad
DIVISION 2

The Southstars defeat the Toon Squad (54-40) and gain sole possession of 2nd place in the conference.

Eric Anderson  scored 19 points to go along with 9 rebounds  for the Southstars. Anthony Fitzpatrick (pictured above) assisted Anderson with the scoring load and finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds shooting 2/5 (%40) from 3 point range.  Trayvonn Booker finished with  9 points and 11 rebounds to round out the top scorers for the Southstars.

Desmond Irenen led the way for Toon Squad and finished with  16 points and 3 boards Chris Lee assisted Irenen with the scoring load and finished  with 9 points and 6 rebounds . No other Toon Squad player was even close to double digits.

The (3-1) Toon Squad will take on their conference rival (4-0) Dream Team in week 5 emotions, should be running high for this game.

The (4-0) Southstars are set to play the (0-4) Wet Bandits in Week 5.

Wonton Soup vs. Double Dribble

DIVISION 2

The rivalry for Double Dribble and Wonton Soup seems to get a little more interesting every season, since the inception of both teams, Double Dribble always seems to have the better regular seasons while Wonton Soup excels in the playoffs. This game was the 2nd regular season match-up between these 2 teams with Double Dribble winning the first match-up, however with the injury to Derrick Pickett and a player eligibility controversy at halftime Wonton Soup put the game out of reach in the second half and came away with a 61-58 win.

Jaime Villalobos led  Wonton Soup with 19 points, 5 rebounds as he returned after missing Week 3 play, assisting Villalobos was Larry Thompkins (pictured above)  who finished with 14 points and 1 rebound, Desean Collins rounded out the scoring trio as he finished with 11 points, 2 rebounds.  Wonton was missing their 3 point threat Robel Kevorkian who sources say was at Raging Waters?  They were also missing their PF Aaron Sanchez and was without the services of SG Josh and Jamie Johnson who were serving  their 1 game suspension.

Although they lost Double Dribble had a very potent and offensive attack 4 of their 5 players scoring in double figures. Diahnte Pickett (17 Pts. 5 Rbs.) led the way for his team, Charlie H. was the second leading scorer and finished with 14 points and 9 boards,Jesse Jimenez  (13 Pts.) and Jairo Lopez rounded out the top scorers with 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Wonton Soup (3-0) will take on the #1 Ranked Dream Team (4-0) in Week 5.

Double Dribble (2-2) will square off against the California Raisins (2-2) in week 5 in a showdown between two of IBL’s favorite teams.
