Week 3

First things first congratulations to Josey Victorio (Justice League) for setting the Division record for points scored in a game with 50 points, this past weekend.

We are now at the midway point of the season and teams are all jockeying for positions. This will be the biggest playoffs to date; ALL TEAMS will qualify! Playoff seeding will be finalized after week 7 games. UKNOW 2.0 (4-0) is sitting pretty on top of the standings and have defeated the 3 teams below them. The Pantera Legends sit in the #2 spot with a 3-1 record and are looking for an opportunity to avenge that narrow defeat at the hands of UKnow V.2 in Week 3.

The division is also having new rules shape up, the properly entitled Robel Kevorkian” rule will be in effect starting in Season 7 as well as player trading, this division is definitely setting the precedent for the rest of the Divisions.

 

Pantera Legends vs. Primetime

DIVISION 3

The Pantera Legends take care of business over a short-handed Primetime team, and come away with a 81 – 65 win.

The Pantera Legends were led in scoring by last seasons MVP Dylan Liebelt,  Liebelt finished with a game high 27 points and 5 rebounds on 11/19 (58%) shooting from the field. Anthony Barajas was the second leading scorer for his team with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. Richard Hak rounded out the top 3 scorers with 15 points and 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

Jr. Dizon led the way for the Primetime, Dizon finished with 17 points, and 2 assists. D.J Romasanta assisted Dizon with the scoring load and finished  with 16 points and 13 rebounds, Justin Flores rounded out the scoring load with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Justice League vs. Prospectz

The Justice League come back from a double-digit deficit and defeat the Prospectz 73 – 68 behind a huge game from Josey Victorio, who set the division record for points in a game with 50.

Josey Victorio led the way for the Justice League,  Victorio finished with a season/division/career high 50 points, 4 boards and 2 assists. Mark Sy-Santos  assisted Victorio with the scoring load and finished  with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assist, and 2 steals.

Anthony led the Prospectz with 15 points and 8 rebounds, assisting Anthony was the Terminhator Minh Thong , Thong finished with 14 points and a game high 13 rebounds. Joel Torres finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Adevoso rounded out the scoring quartet with a quiet 8 points and 1 board.

Primetime vs. Prospectz

DIVISION 3

After blowing  their lead and losing their first game if the day, the Prospectz hold on and defeat Primetime 61 – 65.

Justin Flores led the way for the Primetime, Flores finished with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. D.J Romasanta assisted Flores with the scoring load and finished  with 20 points and 9 rebounds, Jr. Dizon rounded out the scoring load with 11 points, 9 rebounds.

David  led the Prospectz with 26 points and 10 rebounds, he also iced the game with clutch free throws in the final seconds, assisting David was Joel Torres, Torres finished with 19 points and 3 rebounds. Minh Thong  rounded out the scoring trio with a quiet 8 points and 9 boards.

Dirty Homies vs. UKnow V.2

DIVISION 3

UKnow V.2 shows why they are the only undefeated team left in the division with a 71 – 48 romping of the Dirty Homies.

Charlie Hinojosa led all Dirty Homie scorers with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Hinojosa was the only Dirty Homie player in double figures. Jesse Jimenez arrived to the game late but managed to muster up 8 points to help his team, but it was just a little too late. Miguel was the third leading scorer with 7 points and 2 rebounds. Jesus “Chuy” Contreras rounded out all scorers with 6 points and 8 rebounds.

On the UKnow v.2 side of things were balanced. Josh “Goldust” Johnson and Dominique Beebe led all scorers with 17 points on a combined 8/17 shooting from 3-point range. Johnson also pulled in 9 rebounds to complete his stat line. Anthony Cockrell emerged from his scoring slump and finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Albert Suitley rounded out the scoring load with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Brandon Kinard was a notable performer for the game, he finished with 4 points but managed to pull in 15 rebounds from the point guard position.

The Bankers vs. Brea Jr. 7:30

DIVISION 3

The Bankers record their first win of the season by defeating Brea Jr. 7:30 in a 56 – 52 game.

Alex led all Banker scorers with 27 points and 2 rebounds . Justin assisted Alex and finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Robert rounded out the scoring quartet with 8 points and 1 rebounds.

Won Lee led all Brea Jr. 7:30 scorers  with 28 points 1 rebound, and 2 assists. David Lee assisted Won Lee with 11 points and 4 rebounds. Max Chung rounded out the scoring trio with 7 points and 3 rebounds.

Bombers vs. Young Money

DIVISION 3

The addition of Robel Kevorkian proves to be a non factor as Young Money falls to the Bombers 54 – 52 in a nailbitter. 

Jimmy G. led all Bomber scorers with 15 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists. Dre assisted Jimmy G. and finished with 9 points and 3 rebounds.Edgar rounded out the scoring trio with 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Young Money aka No Money  was led by  Aaron Ford and Zeke Benedetti who finished with 11 points apiece. Ashwin Sharma and Abdul were the teams second leading scorer with 8 points apiece. Abdul also pulled in 10 rebounds. Robel “Papa Smurf” Kevorkian rounded out the scoring load with 6 points and 5 rebounds.
