Rialto Ruff Ryderz vs. P.A.H.U

DIVISION 1

After coming out the gate last season losing 3 out of their first 4 games, P.A.H.U starts season 7 off the right way. Recording a 68-49 win over the Rialto Ruff Ryderz.

For P.A.H.U, Gary McNellys led the way with 26 points, 4 rebounds while dishing out 2 assists and 2 steals. Greg Dixon finished with 19 points and 2 rebounds. Bassanio Peters and Ken Shane rounded out the scoring load with 6 points apiece. Although it was just the first game, McNellys is poised to show up on the list of MVP candidates this season.

The Rialto Ruff Ryderz were led by Ryan who finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds, behind Ryan was Tank who finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Jordan was the Ruff Ryderz third leading scorer with 9 points, and 6 rebounds.


The Pack vs. Cov City

DIVISION 1

The Pack proves to league analysts that last seasons run through the playoffs wasn’t a fluke, opening the season with a 78 – 50 win over newcomer’s Cov City.

Luke led all scorers for The Pack with 26 points on 10/15 shooting from the field. Brandon Kinard was second in command with 19 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Lonnie Rivera rounded out the top scorers with 17 points and 6 rebounds.

Elijah York led the way for Cov City, finishing with 18 points and pulled in 4 rebounds. Brandon Parham assisted York with a 7 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. CK Bolado also had 7 points and 3 assists to match Parhams performance and round out the scoring trio.


Knicee vs. Mile High

DIVISION 1

After a sluggish start, Mile High overcame an early 9 point deficit and trailed 22-21 at the half. Behind Shaun Giordano (15 points) and Tom Krzeminski’s barrage of three’s (4/6 ), as well as an up-tempo resurgence out of the break, Mile High extended a lead as high as 23 before capturing the victory over Knicee (0-1) in their IBL début, 68-50.

Behind Shaun and Tom, were Steve who finished with 12 points on 4/7 shooting and Max Barkley who was the teams 4th leading scorer finishing with a near double double, 10 points and 9 rebounds to round out all scorers for the Mile High Basketball team.

Knicee was led by Kenneth Ubom who finished with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Ray Hong finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Andika Mukti and David Aguilera finished with 6 points apiece to round out the top scorers for Knicee. Mukti also pulled in 5 rebounds.

Washed Up vs. SUPREME

DIVISION 1

The reigning Division champions Washed Up open their season with a 58 – 38 win over Supreme. With the win Washed Up increases their win streak to 10 consecutive games.

Johnny Earl led Washed Up with 24 points, 3 assists and 2 steals.  André Lyons finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Justin Lamar rounded out the scoring trio with 10 points and 4 rebounds.

Shawn Sawyer led all scorers for Supreme finishing with 16 points and 8 rebounds. That was the only bright spot for this team. Behind Sawyer the offense was really bleak. Darius David, Kevin Dunbar and Timothy Mays all finished with 6 points apiece. David also pulled in 8 rebounds. However the lack of offensive production will have this team at the bottom of the pack as the season goes on.



We Got Game vs. The Dynasty

DIVISION 1

Last seasons runner-up the Dynasty, opens the season on a positive note, after a 67-58 win over We Got Game.

As always The Dynasty had a balanced offensive attack with Trayvon Caples leading the way with 22 points and 3 assists. Jaye finished the game as the teams second leading scorer with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Buai Tut rounded out the scoring trio with 13 points.

Kevin White was the leading scorer for We Got Game with 19 points, and 5 rebounds. Paul Porter was the teams second leading scorer with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.  Sean Sears rounded out the scoring load with 8 points.
