Do Work vs. Like Water| Playoff Recap

Do Work,  finished the season strong with a (5-2) record  and earned the #3 seed in the Division 1 playoffs. Their first task was to take on last seasons runner-up #6 Like Water who finished their up and down season with a (4-3) record.

The playoff match up was intriguing to say the least, Do Work’s gritty hard-nosed defensive style up against a Like Water team not filled with many scorers. The teams didn’t meet in any of the 7 regular season games so they were both unfamiliar to each other. Do Work dominated the ball from start to finish and at times Like Water seemed disinterested in the game from the defensive grasp that Do Work had them in.

Kenneth Ubom (Do Work) and John Dang (Like Water) tied for the game high in scoring with 22 points each. Dang’s 22 wasn’t enough however as he was 1 of 2 Like Water players to score in double figures the other being Odell Howard who recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Besides Ubom Do Work had 3 other players with double figure scoring Dominic had 15 points and 10 rebounds , Drake Walker (12 points) and Josh (10 points) rounded off the double-digit scorers.

Like Water finishes up another season just a tad bit short of the ultimate prize; they end their season with a 4-4 record and preparing for next season with the absence of team GM Richard Hak.

Do Work now moves on to the semi final round of the D1 playoffs and take on FoHi Crew in the 8pm game this Sunday, they are truly a force to be reckon with.
