Week 1
 

Rialto Ruff Ryderz vs. P.A.H.U

DIVISION 1

After coming out the gate last season losing 3 out of their first 4 games, P.A.H.U starts season 7 off the right way. Recording a 68-49 win over the Rialto Ruff Ryderz.

For P.A.H.U, Gary McNellys led the way with 26 points, 4 rebounds while dishing out 2 assists and 2 steals. Greg Dixon finished with 19 points and 2 rebounds. Bassanio Peters and Ken Shane rounded out the scoring load with 6 points apiece. Although it was just the first game, McNellys is poised to show up on the list of MVP candidates this season.

The Rialto Ruff Ryderz were led by Ryan who finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds, behind Ryan was Tank who finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Jordan was the Ruff Ryderz third leading scorer with 9 points, and 6 rebounds.


The Pack vs. Cov City

DIVISION 1

The Pack proves to league analysts that last seasons run through the playoffs wasn’t a fluke, opening the season with a 78 – 50 win over newcomer’s Cov City.

Luke led all scorers for The Pack with 26 points on 10/15 shooting from the field. Brandon Kinard was second in command with 19 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Lonnie Rivera rounded out the top scorers with 17 points and 6 rebounds.

Elijah York led the way for Cov City, finishing with 18 points and pulled in 4 rebounds. Brandon Parham assisted York with a 7 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. CK Bolado also had 7 points and 3 assists to match Parhams performance and round out the scoring trio.


Knicee vs. Mile High

DIVISION 1

After a sluggish start, Mile High overcame an early 9 point deficit and trailed 22-21 at the half. Behind Shaun Giordano (15 points) and Tom Krzeminski’s barrage of three’s (4/6 ), as well as an up-tempo resurgence out of the break, Mile High extended a lead as high as 23 before capturing the victory over Knicee (0-1) in their IBL début, 68-50.

Behind Shaun and Tom, were Steve who finished with 12 points on 4/7 shooting and Max Barkley who was the teams 4th leading scorer finishing with a near double double, 10 points and 9 rebounds to round out all scorers for the Mile High Basketball team.

Knicee was led by Kenneth Ubom who finished with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Ray Hong finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Andika Mukti and David Aguilera finished with 6 points apiece to round out the top scorers for Knicee. Mukti also pulled in 5 rebounds.

Washed Up vs. SUPREME

DIVISION 1

The reigning Division champions Washed Up open their season with a 58 – 38 win over Supreme. With the win Washed Up increases their win streak to 10 consecutive games.

Johnny Earl led Washed Up with 24 points, 3 assists and 2 steals.  André Lyons finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Justin Lamar rounded out the scoring trio with 10 points and 4 rebounds.

Shawn Sawyer led all scorers for Supreme finishing with 16 points and 8 rebounds. That was the only bright spot for this team. Behind Sawyer the offense was really bleak. Darius David, Kevin Dunbar and Timothy Mays all finished with 6 points apiece. David also pulled in 8 rebounds. However the lack of offensive production will have this team at the bottom of the pack as the season goes on.



We Got Game vs. The Dynasty

DIVISION 1

Last seasons runner-up the Dynasty, opens the season on a positive note, after a 67-58 win over We Got Game.

As always The Dynasty had a balanced offensive attack with Trayvon Caples leading the way with 22 points and 3 assists. Jaye finished the game as the teams second leading scorer with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Buai Tut rounded out the scoring trio with 13 points.

Kevin White was the leading scorer for We Got Game with 19 points, and 5 rebounds. Paul Porter was the teams second leading scorer with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.  Sean Sears rounded out the scoring load with 8 points.

Week 1

Justice League vs. Team YOLO! 

DIVISION 3

Justice League gets back to work with a convincing, 69 – 47 victory over Team YOLO!

Josey Victorito led the way for  the Justice League, finishing with 34  points,. Victorito also pulled in 3 rebounds. Marc Sy-Santos assisted Victorito with the offensive load, his stat line read (14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists) a very complete game for Sy-Santos. Leomar Chachola rounded out the scoring load with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. A very balanced attack for the 6 man roster.

Darriyal Morris led Team YOLO! in the scoring column, Morris finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Joseph Zamora was second in command behind Morris, Zamora finished with 9 points and 4 rebounds. Aaron Gaston had a noteworthy game finishing with 7 points and 5 rebounds but his effort wasn’t enough to keep his team from falling behind and never making the game competitive.

Dirty Homies vs. Filthy Elite

DIVISION 3

The Dirty Homies open up their season with a 72 – 60, over Filthy Elite behind the strong play of Jesse Jimenez.

Jesse Jimenez led the Dirty Homies in the scoring column. Jimenez finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals behind Jimenez was MoMo, Momo finished with 15 points and pulled in 4 boards.  Jesus “Chuy” Contreras  rounded out the scoring load with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Red San Miguel led Filthy Elite in the scoring column, San Miguel finished with 18 points and 2 assists. Kevin Gram was second in command behind San Miguel, Gram finished with 17 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Aldo Sibal rounded out the scoring load with 15 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds.

Prospectz vs. Splash Gang

DIVISION 3

The Prospectz start the season off on a positive note with a 58 – 50 victory over Splash Gang.

David Aguilera led the Prospectz in the scoring column, Aguilera finished with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Minh Thong was second in command behind Aguilera, Thong finished with a double double performance, 10 points and 12 rebounds. Joel Torres had a noteworthy performances finishing with 8 points and 8 rebounds.

Splash Gang was led by Richard Pan who finished with 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 steals. Paris and Braxton both had similar statistical results, the pair finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds each. Raymond rounded out the scoring load for Splash Gang with 9 points and 3 steals. 

Special Delivery vs. Bromantic

DIVISION 3

After a rough first half, Special Delivery “delivers” a strong second half performance and come away with a 57 – 45 win over Bromantic.

Kevin led all scorers for Special Delivery, with 28 points and 4 rebounds on 10/16 shooting from the field. Dejuan assisted Kevin with the scoring and finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Davon rounded out the scoring trio with 7 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Jeremy Andres led all Bromantic scorers with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Genzenn Parcon assisted Andres with the scoring and finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Peter Wang rounded out the scoring trio with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

LEGITimate vs. Monstars

DIVISION 3

The Monstars open up Season 7, with a 43 – 41 nail-biting win over Legitimate.

LEGITimate  was led by DJ Romasanta who finished with a team high 11 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Flores was the teams second leading scorer with 11 points, 2 rebounds and 3 blocks. Jr. Dizon was the teams third leading scorer 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocked shots.

Mike led the way for  the Monstars, finishing with 18 points. Mike also pulled in 5 rebounds and dished out a team high 2 assists. Greg, Keith and Jesse finished the game with 6 points apiece. Greg pulled in 12 rebounds to go along with his 6 points, while Keith pulled in 7 boards.

Bombers vs. Young Money

DIVISION 3

Young Money opens the season on a high note by defeating the Bombers, 66 – 44 in a rematch of last seasons playoff quarterfinals. 

Young Money  was led by Anthony who finished with a game high 17 points and 13 rebounds on 7/11 shooting from the field.  Player #00 (write the name on the stat sheet Jason)  was the teams second leading scorer with 15 points and 1 rebounds. Aaron Ford was the teams third leading scorer and rounded out the scoring load with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Abdul Aziz and Jason “JayBron” Trin were a notable performers, both individuals finished with 6 points . Jaybron dished out 5 dimes while Aziz pulled in 11 rebounds and blocked 2 shots to complete his stat line.

The Bombers were led by Jose Vasquez who finished with a team high (13 points and 3 rebounds) Rene who finished with 12 points and 2 rebounds. Edgar rounded out the scoring trio, with (9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals). The Bombers could not find a defense to stop the penetration from Young Money.

5 Guys 1 Cup vs. Blood and Bones

DIVISION 2

Blood and Bones make their début in IBL, that much sweeter with a 57 – 41 victory over 5 Guys 1 Cup.

Josh Kent led the way for Blood and Bones with 14 points, 4 rebounds while dishing out 1 assist. Ryan Gilbert and Abiedu Usongo finished with 11 points apiece. Damien Henderson rounded out the scoring load with 9 points.

5 Guys 1 Cup was led by Castro who finished with 10 points.,8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Behind Castro was Ricky who finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Alex was the teams third leading scorer with 6 points, and 4 rebounds.


Los Primos vs. UKnow

DIVISION 2

Newcomers Los Primos show their resiliency by holding on to a 3 point lead in the final seconds to sneak away with a 50 – 47 victory over Division veterans UKnow.

Chris Villalobos led all scorers for Los Primos with 12 points on 6/12 (50%) shooting from the field. Alvaro Nunez was second in command with 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Daniel Solis and Omar Munoz rounded out the top scorers with 8 points and 2 rebounds apiece.

Anthony Cockrell led the way for UKnow, finishing with 13 points of the teams 47 points. Jimmy Nguyen and Byron Woods assisted Cockrell with the scoring load and finished with  11 points apiece. Nate Apolonio finished as the teams 4th leading scorer with 7 points.


Han$um Goonz vs. Make It Nasty

DIVISION 2

The Han$um Goonz absorb ever punch that Make It Nasty threw at them and come away with a 57 – 52 Week 1 win.

The Han$um Goonz were led by Brandon, Aaron, and Travis who finished with 11 points each. Brandon and Travis also pulled in 6 boards while Aaron grabbed 5.  David rounded out the top scorers for the Goonz with 10 points and 4 rebounds.

Make It Nasty was led by Jacob who finished with a game high 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Demetri finished with 10 points and 2 rebounds and Johovaann finished with 9 points to round out the top scorers for Make It Nasty.


Double Dribble vs. 686

DIVISION 2

Double Dribble displays why they’re indeed the reigning champions of Division 2 with a decisive, 90 – 52 win over highly touted newcomers 686.

Andrae Lockett led the way for Double Dribble with 31 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.  Derrick Pickett finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks while Jesse Jimenez rounded out the scoring trio with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Notable performers for Double Dribble included Diahnte Pickett who finished with 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, while Charlie Hinojosa finished with 11 points.

Bryan led all 686 scorers. Finishing with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Anthony finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Those two players were the only bright spots for this team. However behind those two, the offensive production was limited, Martin and Diego rounded out the top scorers with 8 points apiece.



#JETS vs. REIGN

DIVISION 2

Newcomer REIGN displays their agility and all around scoring balance with a 68 – 37 win over an experienced #JETS team.

Newcomers REIGN had a lopsided offensive attack with Wilson Fiallos leading the way with a game high 30 points and 4 rebounds. J.D. and Jason finished the game as the teams second leading scorer with 11 points apiece while Mike rounded out the scoring trio with 8 points and 5 rebounds.

JoeJoe Williams was the leading scorer for the #JETS with 11 points, and 4 rebounds. Kenny was the teams second leading scorer with 7 points and 4 rebounds.  Mike Wells and Jarvous rounded out the scoring load with 6 points apiece.

Fly Society vs. Limitless

DIVISION 2

Fly Society and Limitless battle down to the wire, with Paolo Leonardo of Limitless making the game winning three pointer as time expired to help his team come away with a 63 – 62 victory over the league journeymen of Fly Society,

As always Fly Society had a balanced offensive attack with Jaime Villalobos leading the way with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Robert Aguilar finished the game as the teams second leading scorer with 14 points and 2 assists. Justin Lovingood rounded out the scoring trio with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Paolo Leonardo was the leading scorer for Limitless with 22 points, and 4 rebounds on 8/8 shooting from the field. Chris was the teams second leading scorer with 15 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists and  Manny Rivera rounded out the scoring load with 8 points.
