Week 2

Justice League vs. Bromantic 

DIVISION 3

Bromantic manages to keep the final score at a respectable margin, but trailed the majority of the game to the Justice League, the final result a 57 – 47 Justice League win.

Josey Victorito led the way for  the Justice League, finishing with 18  points,. Victorito also pulled in 1 rebound. John Robel assisted Victorito with the offensive load, his stat line read (8 points, and 6 rebounds). Marc Sy-Santos and Justin Nguyen rounded out the scoring load with 7 points apiece, for the men of the Justice League who push their record to (2-0). 

Jeremy Andres led all Bromantic scorers with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Rob Enriquez assisted Andres with the scoring and finished with 9 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Genzenn Parcon rounded out the scoring trio with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Bromantic falls to 0-2 in division play after this loss.

Filthy Elite vs. Splash Gang

DIVISION 3

Behind the strong play MJ Bencito and Terrance Clark, the Filthy Elite  pull away from the Splash Gang late to come away with a 60 – 52 win.

Splash Gang was led by Marcus who finished with 16 points, and 10 rebounds, on 7/7 shooting from the field.  Braxton  finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Raymond rounded out the scoring load for Splash Gang with 8 points.

MJ Bencito led Filthy Elite in the scoring column, Bencito finished with 21 points, 10 boards and 4 assists. Terrance Clark was second in command behind Bencito, Clark finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Red San Miguel rounded out the scoring load with 9 points, 1 assist and 1 board.

Prospectz vs. Monstars

DIVISION 3

The Prospectz are 2-0 for the first time in the history of the team after a 51 – 40 victory over the 0-2 Monstars, who just can’t seem to find their knack for scoring.

David Aguilera led the Prospectz in the scoring column, Aguilera finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. The teams latest acquisition Dylan Liebelt was second in command behind Aguilera, Liebelt  finished with, 14 points and 2 rebounds. Minh Thong had a noteworthy performances finishing with 8 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

Sal led the way for  the Monstars, finishing with 13 points, and 3 boards. Behind Sal was last weeks leading scorer Mike. Mike finished with 8 points and 3 rebounds. Alex rounded out the top scorers with 5 points. The offense for the Monstars has been atrocious the past two weeks, it seems they can’t get more than one scorer into double figures.

 

Cali Swag Bears vs. Wonton Soup

DIVISION 3

The Cali Swag Bears open the season, with a 64 – 51 loss to the divisions new arrival Wonton Soup. In doing so, they become the only team out of last season’s champions to lose their opening game.

Wonton Soup came out firing on all cylinders and started the game on a 12-0 run. They  were led by Matt Achucarro who finished with a team high (13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists). Jaime Johnson and Robel Kevorkian  finished the game with 12 points apiece. Demetre Smith rounded out the scoring trio, with (10 points, and 3 rebounds).

Brandon Kinard led all C.S.B scorers with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Junior Muntu assisted Kinard with the scoring and finished with 10 points and 3 rebounds and  Anthony Cockrell rounded out the scoring trio with 8 points and 4 rebounds. The Swag Bears played without any of the championship swagger, and if they keep this up. Their hopes of a repeat will be dead and gone.

Bombers vs. Team YOLO!

DIVISION 3

The Bombers defeat Team YOLO! in one of the most low scoring games in the Divisions existence, 35 – 20.

The Bombers were led by Jimmy who finished with a team high (11 points and 3 rebounds) Jose Vasquez who finished with 9 points and 3 rebounds. Edgar rounded out the scoring trio, with (6 points, 3 rebounds). The Bombers found away to come out with a big win in a very low-scoring game

Darriyal Morris led Team YOLO! in the scoring column for the second consecutive week, Morris finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Josh Canaderio was second in command behind Morris, Canaderio finished with 4 points and 3 rebounds. Those were the only bright spots for this team, in this very ugly game.

LEGITimate vs. Special Delivery

DIVISION 3

After an offensive foul in the final seconds, LEGITimate turned over the ball and all hopes of winning this very close game, they fall to Special Delivery, 51 – 49.

LEGITimate  was led by DJ Romasanta who finished with a team high 17 points and 10 rebounds. Alex Peou was the teams second leading scorer with 13 points, and 5 boards. Jaime Higuera was the teams third leading scorer 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Kevin led all scorers for Special Delivery, with 25 points and 9 rebounds on 8/20 shooting from the field. Domo Cole assisted Kevin with the scoring and finished with 11 points and 3 rebounds. Dejuan rounded out the scoring trio with 6 points, and 2 rebounds.

Young Money vs. California Raisins

DIVISION 3

The California Raisins make their division début a good one with a 67 – 54 win over last seasons runner-up Young Money.

Young Money  was led by Anthony who finished with a team high 16 points and 7 rebounds on 6/9 shooting from the field. Mark Garcia   was the teams second leading scorer with 12 points. Zeke Benedetti was the teams third leading scorer and rounded out the scoring load with 9 points.

Matt Virata led the California Raisins in the scoring column. Virata finished with 15 points and 2 assists behind Virata was Korey Davis, Davis finished with 14 points and pulled in 5 boards. Ezekiel Kim rounded out the scoring load with 11 points and 2 rebounds. Kenny was a notable performer, finishing with 11 points, 2 boards and 2 assists.
